i've been addicted to house md for quite some time. im now at season 4 of the drama (there's currently only up to season 5). i've got a medical list and terms that was printed from the web to refer to when im unsure of what they said. i've done some reading on books and intend to read more books related to medicine, for leisure of course. from the drama i learnt what is meant by 'differential diagnosis'. for eg having sore throat, fever and muscle weakness, these are symptoms for flu, at the same time, these are also symtoms for dengue. ie, one set of symtoms can lead to several disease. there are more like chimerism, huntington disease etc

besides gaining medical knowledge, i fund house's character simply interesting. there are books about this character and i plan on reading them too. one of my favourite quotes from him was "You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, heaven and hell; but when it comes to this world. don't be an idiot. Because you can tell me that you put your faith in God to get you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, i know you look both ways" he reprimanded a religious patient when she refused treatment.

intended to start my revision and yet im distracted to read other non-examinable materials. hopefully i can utilise today effectively.
